Sustainability Reports - Cédric Bellon Watches

Cédric Bellon Watches is the first watch brand to publish an individual sustainability certificate for every watch model. This score is calculated across the full production lifecycle - raw materials, manufacturing energy, supply chain distances, chemical processes, and design for longevity and repairability.

How is the sustainability score calculated?

The score is based on three axes: circularity (recycled inputs and recyclable outputs), proximity (local sourcing and in-house production in Switzerland), and transformation (chemical-free processes, renewable energy). A conventional Swiss made watch at a comparable price point scores approximately 42%. The CB01-GMT reaches 87.59% - 2.09 times more sustainable.

CB01-GMT - 87.59% sustainability score

Case, dial and buckle are machined from PuReSteel® - the world's first 100% recycled
316L stainless steel, developed with ThyssenKrupp, melted in Switzerland using
hydroelectric energy. No galvanic treatment, no chemical colouring, no glues.
The leather strap is naturally tanned by a local Swiss artisan.

CB01-Ti - 84.44% sustainability score

Case and dial are machined in-house from repurposed Grade 5 titanium. The Alcantara
strap is handmade. The exclusive Swiis made automatic movement with small second at 12 o'clock is produced by Dubois-Depraz.
